lab.

The REALITAETENLABOR offers a space for interdisciplinary and application-oriented Augmented (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) - collectively referred to as Extended Reality (XR) - developments and is affiliated with the Chair of Information and Communication Management at the Technische Universität Berlin. As a network of researchers at Berlin universities, we strive for an exchange of knowledge, technologies and resources in this increasingly high-threshold field. On the one hand, the aim is to promote the integration of local XR projects and to foster cooperation, and on the other hand, to help shape the interlinking of academic XR research and teaching as well as their practice-oriented public use. Since 2022, the REALITAETENLABOR has been a founding member of the Berlin XR Lab, an adopted initiative of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA).
