project description.
Network visualisation and analysis have become indispensable tools in data analysis. They are suitable for displaying and examining strongly networked information.
XR Network Visualisation is a software prototype for displaying graph data in Mixed Reality.
The aim is to develop an interactive research environment that enables the immersive exploration of networked data sets.
In contrast to the flat diagram on the screen, the spatial representation of a network provides an additional dimension that reduces the density and clutter of nodes and edges, thus ensuring greater readability.
Drawing graphs in real time is an extremely computationally intensive operation. The technical basis for this is Unity's new DOTS framework ("Data Oriented Tech Stack").
